Attorneys
Lead the legal strategy on each case — investigating claims, building arguments, negotiating settlements, and trying cases when they need to be tried.
We hire people who care about employees. Attorneys, paralegals, case managers, operations — what we do works because the whole team takes the work seriously. If you want to spend your career helping people who got fired, underpaid, or pushed out, we’d like to hear from you.
I lead the case. The client has me from start to finish.
Lead the legal strategy on each case — investigating claims, building arguments, negotiating settlements, and trying cases when they need to be tried.
The attorney handles the strategy. I handle the details.
Hold the case together — gathering facts, organizing evidence, drafting documents, and staying with clients from first call to resolution.
Every case has a hundred moving parts. That’s my job!
Keep cases moving — tracking deadlines, coordinating between team and clients, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
I don’t take cases. I make sure everyone else can
Keep the firm running — systems, processes, hiring, finance, and everything that lets the legal team focus on cases.
Lead plaintiff-side employment cases — strategy, negotiation, trial — supported by in-house tools, structured processes, and a team that handles the details.
Hold complex employment cases together — drafting filings, building case foundations, and managing client communication so attorneys can focus on strategy.
Run the firm’s day-to-day operations — finance, technology, marketing, and client services — and partner with the CEO to execute on growth.
Run the office day-to-day — facilities, systems, vendors, and onboarding — so the legal team can focus on clients.
Our team comes from more places than most law firms. A registered nurse before law school. A Marine Corps veteran. A community organizer. Lawyers and staff who speak Spanish natively. People who started in different careers and brought that experience to this one. We hire this way on purpose. Workplace problems don’t have one shape, and the team that handles them shouldn’t either.
Not every role lives in an office. We hire remote where it makes sense.
[X] days of PTO per year, plus federal holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year’s closed.
Laptop, monitor, and home office stipend for hybrid and remote work.
[X] weeks paid for primary caregivers, [X] weeks for secondary caregivers, regardless of how the child joined your family.
401(k) with firm match up to [X%] of salary, fully vested after [X] years.

An introductory conversation to get to know you, share more about us, and discuss what you’re looking for.
A short, role-relevant assignment that gives you a sense of the work and gives us a sense of how you approach it.
A deeper conversation about your experience, skills, and how you’d approach the role on a video call.
Two short assessments — Kolbe and PRINT — that help us understand how you work best and where you’ll thrive.
A final conversation with the team or a partner to confirm mutual fit.
If it’s a fit, we’ll make you an offer after a background check.

We read everything that comes in.
It depends on the role. Some positions are fully in-office, some are hybrid, and some are remote — each posting says which. Hybrid roles are based out of either Minneapolis or Chicago, with a set number of days on site. If a listing doesn’t make it clear, ask us during the phone interview.
Usually a few weeks from application to offer. The eight steps look like a lot on paper, but most are short — a phone call, a brief assignment, two conversations, and two assessments. We move at whatever pace your schedule allows, and we’ll tell you where you stand at each step.
Not for most roles. We care more about how you think and whether you want to do this work than whether you’ve done it before. We’ll train you on the employment law specifics. If a role genuinely requires prior experience, the posting will say so.
People move up within their roles and sometimes across them. Paralegals take on more complex cases, case managers grow into operations, and we promote from inside where we can. The firm is growing, which means new responsibility tends to be available before a formal title change catches up to it.
Yes. Send your resume to careers@wantathome.com and tell us what you’re looking for. We read everything that comes in, and we keep good candidates in mind — a fair number of our hires started as someone who reached out before the right role existed.
